Roehampton researchers recognised as world-leading experts

 

Two academics from the University of Roehampton have been ranked amongst the world’s top 2% researchers in key rankings.

Professor Wantao Yu and Professor Lia Zarantonello, from the Faculty of Business and Law have been recognised in the influential list that ranks leading experts in their fields, for their contribution to the global research community.

This is the fifth year that Professor Wantao Yu has been recognised, with his overall ranking improving each year. His research focuses on digital supply chain transformation and supply chain sustainability. Specifically, investigating how businesses adopt digital technologies to manage their supply chain operations, making them more responsible and sustainable.

Professor Lia Zarantonello’s research focuses on brands and consumers, with a particular focus on consumers’ experiences, emotions, and psychological wellbeing.

Professor Dan Nunan, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law says: “This recognition highlights their exceptional contribution to research, and the impact that Roehampton research is having on the world.”

The Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientist Rankings list for 2024 is based on citations from 2022, updated to the end of 2023 and uses metrics like h-index, co-authorship adjustments, and a composite citation score (c-score), which reflects a scientist’s influence rather than just their publication count.
