This presentation will introduce the work of Vertebra Theatre, a London based ensemble of theatre makers who create visual theatre for and with a range of communities. We will introduce the project 'Dark Matter', a Visual Theatre show that used Bunraku puppetry, visual imagery and live microcinema to generate awareness around the taboo subject of death and dying. During the second part, we will introduce the performative and therapeutic use of Bunraku puppetry to promote health and wellbeing.
