Southlands College Sesquicentenary Celebrations 2022: Alumni Reunion Saturday 2nd July 2022

The 26 February 2022 marked the 150th anniversary of Southlands College opening in Battersea.

2022 also marks 25 years of the college being on its present site on Roehampton Lane. We are delighted to invite all Southlands College alumni to a special reunion event on Saturday 2nd July 2022.

The programme for the day is:

10.00 - 11.30 Registration, refreshments and reuniting with friends

11.30 - 12.30 Service to Celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Foundation of Southlands College

13.00 - 14.30 Gala Lunch hosted by Dr Christopher Stephens, Head of Southlands College and Professor Jean-Noël Ezingeard, University Vice-Chancellor. Entertainment during lunch will be provided by the college’s Music Scholars

14.30 - 16.30 Guests are invited to join tours of the College and University, led by current students

Alumni year groups can meet in pre-booked meeting rooms

Throughout the day you are invited to view an exhibition of Southlands College illustrating the college’s 150-year history.

Anniversary Hymn: Light, Love, Life

Our College Chaplain, Rev Nicola Morrison has collaborated with Principal of Wesley House, Rev Jane Leach to create a new hymn to jointly celebrate 150 years of Southlands College and the Centenary of Wesley House, Cambridge. This hymn, based on the College motto ‘Light, Love, Life’ will be sang in our Service of Thanksgiving on 2nd July.

About Leslie:

Leslie Schipa is currently studying Psychology at the University of Roehampton.  Leslie received her Master of Arts in Vocal Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She has performed in opera and in concert in the US, the UK, Europe, and New Zealand. Currently, Leslie is working in community development, striving to build welcoming and safe spaces for all.
