Scholarships
£2,500 fees discount are offered to two students of the University of Roehampton as part of the celebrations to mark the 150th anniversary of the founding of Southlands College.
How do I qualify?
Southlands College Teaching Scholarships will be awarded to two students, who meet the following criteria: Pursuing a course through the university which leads to qualified teacher status in the UK. Commitment to active participation in college life at the University of Roehampton. Financial need criterion also considered.
Expectations of Scholars
The student awarded the scholarship will be expected to engage with the College and attend meetings with Trustees where possible to talk about their studies and experience at Roehampton.
The scholarship is open to both UK and International students.

Students eligible for this award will need to be either applying for undergraduate study in the School of Education, or already on an Education programme at the University of Roehampton. The programmes included are: Early Childhood Studies; Education Practice; Improving Outcomes in Special and Inclusive Education; Primary Education QTS; Psychology and Education Practice.

Bursaries
£1,000 bursary payment is offered to students of the University of Roehampton. Students applying for this bursary will need to demonstrate that they intend to use their study with the goal of social good.
Social good can mean many things and students are invited to think creatively about how they will engage with the world in a meaningful way as a result of their time at University of Roehampton and the programme they have chosen.
How do I qualify?
Applications for bursaries can be made at any point in the year, from the point of being enrolled on a programme. Money awarded as part of a bursary will be transferred to students in two parts. Initial payments will be made shortly after the panel decision to award, with the second payment being made at a mid-way point in the academic year depending on circumstances. Funds can only be transferred into UK bank accounts.
