Terms of Reference

  • Oversight of the library collections and services to ensure an excellent academic experience for undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Consider the provision of non-traditional, innovative library and learning services and spaces, monitoring their impact on the quality of teaching and student outcomes
  • Make recommendations to enhance the staff and student experience in the Library and broader learning environment, both as a physical space and as a service provider
  • Consider the strategic requirements and priorities to inform institutional decisions and resource allocation for initiatives relating to important research, quality of teaching and learning environment quality indicators
  • Recommend policies to Senate or other committees to support this work (e.g. Library Collection Development Policy, Lecture capture, Copyright, Reading Lists framework)

Meeting Frequency

Normally three times per academic year, with additional meetings scheduled as required.

Member of staff selected by the University Librarian.
