Come along to our Live Taster Webinar German responses to the persecution of the Jews taking place on Wednesday 27 January 2021 at 16.30. The webinar will be hosted by Dr Caroline Sharples, a Senior Lecturer in Modern European History. Did ‘ordinary’ Germans care about the persecution of Jews during the Third Reich? This session will examine the gradual escalation of Nazi racial policies, from the boycott of Jewish business in 1933, to the violence of the Kristallnacht pogrom in 1938. Along the way, we will explore public reactions and consider what, if anything, people could do to protest these measures.
