The University of Roehampton was delighted to welcome educators from across London and beyond for its annual Teachers and Advisors Conference 2025, held on Thursday, 8 May Grove House on campus.
We had a brilliant day, welcoming attendees from local schools and colleges to take part in a packed programme of insightful discussions, practical workshops, and opportunities to share best practice in supporting students through their post-18 pathways.
The conference featured expert-led sessions from across the sector, including:
- Sam Sykes (UCAS): Updates on the UCAS application process for 2025
- Ben Rutter (Student Loans Company): The latest in student finance policy
- Breakout sessions led by Bev Jennison (University of Roehampton): Enhancing employability through work placements
- Additional breakout sessions led by Scott Carter, Sue Carter, Louise Baddeley, Tom Marley, and Rosanna Amour focused on alternative pathways, student wellbeing, and academic support transitions
Attendees enjoyed complimentary breakfast and lunch, engaging breakout discussions, and optional campus tours led by our fantastic Student Ambassadors.
The day fostered a strong sense of collaboration and connection, with many attendees commenting on the value of hearing directly from sector specialists and fellow educators.
One attendee said: “A fabulous event in a great setting with some excellent presenters. As someone who’s been in the role for a while, I really enjoyed it and came away having learned quite a lot.”
A big thank you to everyone who participated, presented, and contributed to making the day such a success.
We look forward to seeing you again next year!
