The University of Roehampton has risen 40 places in the latest Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, climbing from 124th to 84th and achieving one of the biggest improvements in the country.

The latest rankings build on a year of strong results for Roehampton. Recent National Student Survey outcomes confirmed the University's reputation for delivering an outstanding student experience, while graduate outcomes data highlighted strong salary growth and long-term career success across a number of subject areas.
The University's success was also reflected in the subject rankings, with Education ranked the number one modern university in London and 22nd nationally, reinforcing Roehampton's long-standing reputation for excellence in teacher education and educational research.
Professor Jean-Noël Ezingeard, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Roehampton, said:
“This is a very welcome result, but the bigger story is what it says about social mobility.
“Widening participation is not just about who enters higher education. It is about the quality of education students receive, supporting them to complete their studies and, above all, what they go on to achieve.
“Our improvement in teaching, student experience, degree outcomes and graduate prospects shows the difference colleagues across Roehampton make every day. Where students start should not determine where they finish.”
At the heart of Roehampton's mission is a commitment to ensuring that higher education is accessible, transformative and focused on student success. The University welcomes students from a wide range of backgrounds and provides the support, teaching and opportunities they need to thrive during their studies and beyond.
The latest rankings provide further recognition of Roehampton's continued progress and its commitment to delivering an outstanding university experience.
As the University prepares to welcome a new generation of students, the result reinforces Roehampton's position as a place where ambition is nurtured, potential is realised and graduates go on to make a positive impact in their careers and communities.
