Name of Academics and Partners: Professor John Eade
Description/ Aim of project: Between April 2021 and September 2022 John Eade worked with colleagues in Stuttgart and Milan on a comparative study funded by the Volkswagen Foundation on the ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic affected institutional trust, feelings of belonging, and structures of self-empowerment amongst ethnic minority groups. In London John Eade worked closely with Michal Garapich, Shamea Mia and British Bangladeshi interlocutors and both he and Shamea Mia have contributed chapters based on the study to be published by Palgrave in April 2024.
