Dr. Andrew Rogers is co-convenor of the British and Irish Association for Practical Theology (BIAPT) Bible and Practical Theology Special Interest Group which he founded in 2011. The group aims to explore all aspects of how the Bible is engaged in practical theology. Everyone with an interest in this interface is welcome to join. The group meets at the BIAPT summer conference each year to read and reflect on the Bible together organised around specific contexts or themes, sometimes guided by a guest speaker. We have held two symposiums to date and have our next one in December 2025, which takes the 500th anniversary of the Tyndale New Testament as a thematic cue. A report on the last symposium written by convenors and participants can be found here.
