Impact

Our strategy for impact is rooted in collaboration and external partnerships with institutions that share our values and mission to build sustainable organisations and enterprises that are effective, ethical and that promote social justice.

We are focused on developing research which delivers benefits for all our partners and stakeholders, including community organisations, private businesses, third sector organisations, non-governmental organisations, and central and local government.

The work developed by our Business researchers has influenced and transformed the accounting, reporting and decision-making practices and processes of institutions across the UK and Europe.

Molly Scott Cato's research on Green economics has influenced her political intervention in key international debates and the development of legislation around issues that affect the planet’s ecological balance.

Cristiano Busco's new approach to accounting and reporting – the maieutic machine – has been adopted by multinational organisations across Europe.

Research on Strategic Investment Decision making developed by Elaine Harris and Moataz Elmassri, has been adopted by organisations in Finland and Egypt having also influenced the plans of managers of private sector companies in the UK.

Wantao Yu developed an integrated data-driven agri-matrix framework, which is helping agricultural stakeholders in the UK and China including smallholder farmers, policy makers and advisors make more effective data-driven decisions that greatly enhance productivity, sustainability and profitability.
