We offer a range of support, including a Student Hardship Fund, scholarships and advice.
You’ll be based in our historic Southlands College and study in the Mandela building, which is right next to our world-class library.
Here you’ll learn in modern teaching rooms and large lecture theatres and experience legal work in action through industry talks with guest speakers. There’s also plenty of communal areas for you to relax and meet with friends in between lectures too.
You’ll be encouraged to practice your legal skills in our mock courtroom - a great opportunity to enhance your debating skills and knowledge of law, and to present your own cases in the roles of judges, appellants and respondents.
And finally, our dedicated Law Careers Advisor will be on hand to connect you with graduate recruiters and support you every step of your career planning and job search.

You'll have the opportunity to gain real-world experience and put your skills into practice with an optional work placement between years 2 and 3 of your course. This is a chance to gain paid work experience and make valuable industry connections.

You'll also find the Law School Clinic in the Mandela building, which is a free legal advice centre offering advice to the local community and will be a great opportunity for you to gain legal experience.
You'll train with leading legal experts and academics who have extensive knowledge of the practice and teaching of law.
Opportunities to experience legal work in action with visits to historic legal institutions, including Parliament, the Supreme Court and the Old Bailey
You'll be encouraged to see law in the context of everyday life, right from the start.
You can also get involved in a range of extra-curricular activities, including our student-led Law Society and we'll prepare you for the world of work with regular access to employability events, guest industry speakers, networking opportunities and personalised mentoring and career support.
​Whether you’re a sustainability champion or just keen to do your bit, our award-winning Growhampton project is for you. From orchards and growing sites to The Hive Café housed in repurposed shipping containers, our edible campus is a go-to destination for ethical food, community and connection.
You can even volunteer to look after rescued, ex-battery hens in our Growhampton chicken coop.
As a Roehampton student, you will have access to our 24/7 student support service, Nest. The friendly team will be on hand to answer any questions or concerns - from accommodation issues to wellbeing queries - in person or online.
We also offer bepsoke study, careers, wellbeing and financial support, all designed to suit your needs. This includes mental health support, professional counselling, an on-campus medical centre, a multi-faith chaplaincy, as well as online resources available. Find out about our support!
We know that the cost of living is a concern so we're committed ensuring there is a range of support available to you. Almost all our courses are taught on no more than three days per week, so you still get loads of contact time with your lecturers, plus time for part-time work, family commitments and internships.

Whether you're living on or off-campus, you'll be able to make use of our free student-only bus service which runs between Putney Bridge, Barnes Station, our campus and Wimbledon.
We also offer free on-campus parking to our students and are one of the first London universities to do so.
