Created by pioneering composer and sound artist Pauline Oliveros, Deep Listening is a unique practice that enables people to distinguish between hearing - an automatic process - and listening, which requires active attention and awareness.

In this course, you will engage in a variety of listening exercises and interactive sound-making, exploring the sounds of everyday life, nature, personal thoughts, and imagination, as well as the dynamics of community.

You will develop a deeper awareness of both the sounds around you and your internal sonic experiences. This practice encourages creativity, experimentation, and collaboration, helping you to think outside the box, play freely, and engage meaningfully with others.

Deep Listening is more than just a method for experiencing sound, it is a technique for personal and collective development, fostering both individual expression and collaboration in a shared creative space.
