Kriss graduated with a Masters in Human Rights and International Relations in 2012 and returned home to America following her studies. Kriss oversees a programme called California Justice Leaders (CJL) through her employer, Impact Justice, which provides employment and leadership opportunities to young people with prior involvement in the state’s justice system. Participants act as re-entry navigators for youth currently in or recently released from California’s juvenile facilities and support them in their re-entry goals. She continues to work closely with Roehampton from America.

I have many fond memories of my time at Roehampton. As an international student staying in campus housing, I got to meet people from all over the world and create lasting friendships. Additionally, my lectures were such a special space of learning from professors who had accomplished so much in the field of Human Rights and students from multiple continents who had such passion to make positive change across the globe. It was truly an unforgettable and life-changing experience.”

“My advice to Roehampton students is don’t underestimate yourself, the value of hard work, and showing up each day. Stay true to your passions but take advantage of learning from all experiences. I learned so much from opportunities and positions that didn’t always appear to be directly aligned with my career goals but ended up enhancing my skillset and serving me well as I moved into leadership positions wearing many hats and juggling responsibilities.”
