After retiring in 2014, her work has involved charity and non-profit projects, including Peace One Day and Sporting Equals. She also continues to do much for promoting female participation in sport.

“My biggest achievements have been completing my Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees. My rugby achievements have always been high up on my list of achievements but completing my degrees has been significant for me.”

My experience as a women in sport has had its ups and downs. Throughout my career I have always felt as a woman that mine and my teammates achievements have always been seen as second class to the men. That has always infuriated me and has driven me on to make sure female athletes from any sport are given the same respect as our male counterparts.”
