The Clearing process

Clearing happens every year and is an opportunity for you to find a course at a university that is right for you. This year, Clearing runs until 19 October 2026. 

We want you to feel confident about applying through Clearing. We’ll be on hand throughout the process. We have plenty of resources to help you feel prepared.

You may be eligible to apply for a university degree in Clearing if you have: 

  • Changed your mind about what or where you want to study 
  • Not applied in the current admissions cycle and now want to apply to a course 
  • Didn’t receive any other offers 
  • Didn’t receive the grades you were expecting 
  • Declined the offers you received 
  • Applied after 6pm on 30 June.

Living on campus

Our Southwest London campus is located between Putney, Wimbledon, Richmond, and Barnes and is well connected, ensuring you can balance studying, work and home life without the hassle of a long commute. 

We’re just nine-minute train journey from Clapham Junction or 20 minutes from London Waterloo.

Get help with your travel costs to Roehampton with our Commuter Bursary, with up to £1,000 a year if you commute to campus, making it easier and more affordable to get to your classes.

Alumni spotlight

Greg went from Clearing, to taking part in student radio at Roehampton, to interviewing Hollywood stars and Premier League winners.

In 2020, Greg graduated from Roehampton with a degree in media. He worked at Roehampton for a couple of years learning about social media management, before securing a job at Hook, one of the largest youth marketing and media groups on social media. Here, Greg got opportunities to attend red carpet events, celebrity junkets and managing the brand's social media platforms.

Now, Greg is a Digital Content Producer at Pubity Group, working across their portfolio of brands, creating content for around 140 million followers!
