Rachel John graduated in 2002 with a joint honour BSc in Drama and Theatre Studies and English Studies. Rachel is best known for her work on the West End, in particular her role of Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton, which she played from November 2017 until December 2018. For this part, Rachel was nominated for an Olivier Award for best supporting actress in a musical. She has had a variety of other roles, including the 2014 West End productions of Memphis, The Bodyguard and Girl From the North Country. She is currently part of the cast of Songs for a New World, which will be one of the first West End productions to open after the COVID-19 pandemic.
