
First launched in 2016, The Chancellor’s Alumni Awards celebrate the remarkable achievements of Roehampton’s alumni in their communities and professions.
The 2025 awards were held in November 2025, at the Lime Tree Suite in Elm Grove and showcased the remarkable impact, achievements and contributions of 19 alumni.

Alumni Innovation and Inspiration Award
This award recognises innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.
Graduate Diploma in Law, 2018
Farasat is a Consultant Solicitor at WildCat Law and Founder of Kang Asset Management, whose career blends professional excellence with a deep commitment to social good. Recognised by The Legal 500 for his expertise in corporate and commercial law, he also provides free legal services to those in need and donates a portion of his firm’s revenue to charity.
Farasat continues to inspire others through his mentoring and close engagement with Roehampton, exemplifying integrity, innovation, and compassion in all he does.
LLB Law, 2020
Jeffrey is an Associate at Clifford Chance whose leadership, innovation, and commitment to sustainability continue to inspire. Since graduating, he has contributed to landmark energy and infrastructure projects across Europe, including Sizewell C and major offshore wind developments, helping drive the global transition to sustainable energy.
During his time at Roehampton, Jeffrey led as President of the Law Society and championed initiatives that expanded opportunities for underrepresented students.
MSc Project Management, 2020
Denis is the Co-Founder and President of Girls Tech Ventures, whose visionary leadership is transforming opportunities for young women across Rwanda and beyond. Since graduating, Denis has worked to bridge the digital gender divide by empowering girls through education, entrepreneurship, and health initiatives.
In 2023 alone, his organisation reached more than 180,000 girls in rural Rwanda, equipping them with digital literacy, STEM skills, and leadership training. His commitment to equality and his ability to forge global partnerships have created a lasting impact and hope for future generations.
BA Social Policy and Administration, 1999
Jacqueline is the Founder and Director of Sharp Raiser Limited and Raising Communities Limited, whose leadership and commitment to justice have empowered individuals and strengthened grassroots organisations. Since graduating in 1999, she has supported small charities - particularly those led by racialised and minoritised communities - helping them secure funding and deliver transformative projects in arts, heritage, and enterprise.
Through her women-led consultancy collective, Jacqueline has mentored and trained women from global majority backgrounds to step into leadership roles, while her own creative work as an award-winning author continues to champion racial and social justice.
LLB Law, 2019
Julia is a Trainee Solicitor at Clyde & Co. Her determination, innovation, and passion have made her a rising star in law and an inspiring role model in esports. Julia supported others through Roehampton’s pro bono partnership with Citizens Advice, showing a deep commitment to justice and community impact. As the UK’s first esports scholar to study Law, she excelled at a national level, breaking barriers for women in competitive gaming.
BA Modern Languages 2014, PhD Translation Studies, 2020
Hayley is the Founder and Director of Let’s Talk Human Skills, combining academic excellence with entrepreneurial vision and social impact. Since completing her PhD, Hayley has worked as a translator, educator, and researcher before launching her consultancy to help people build confidence, communication, and emotional intelligence.
Her work with leading organisations and charities has supported hundreds of people from diverse backgrounds to grow and succeed.
MA Education, Leadership and Management, 2021
Tazim is an inspiring educator, leader, and advocate for educational equity whose work spans communities both in the UK and abroad. Beginning her journey with Teach for India, Tazim went on to found Sahyog, a nonprofit supporting disadvantaged children and women through grassroots education initiatives.
Since completing her master’s degree at Roehampton, she has transformed student life as College Engagement and Activities Officer at Southlands, leading programmes that foster leadership, community, and cultural exchange.
Creative Writing, 2023
Dorothy is a writer, activist, and CEO of Chronically Marvellous. Her resilience, creativity, and leadership have inspired meaningful change across health, policy, and the arts. After beginning her career in corporate law, Dorothy transformed personal adversity into advocacy, using her writing and public voice to challenge stigma and promote mental health awareness.
Her debut novel, The Rag Doll Contract, and her journalism in leading publications have brought honesty and insight to complex issues. Through her charity and bipolar-specific coaching work, she is creating inclusive spaces for those living with long-term conditions.
PGCE Secondary Physics, 2024
Andy is the Founder of Beyond Blocks and is a passionate advocate for STEM education. His creativity and dedication have inspired learners around the world. Since completing his PGCE, Andy has combined education with innovation, teaching robotics, engineering, and programming through LEGO Education.
What began as a bold idea has grown into an award-winning venture recognised for its impact on both learning and community. Alongside his business success, Andy gives generously of his time as a volunteer and mentor, supporting young people through coding clubs, sustainability projects, and workshops at Roehampton.
MA Chidlren's Literature, 2017
Demet is a Production Controller at Little Tiger Group. Her passion for literature and commitment to accessibility have enriched the publishing world and beyond. Since completing her degree, Demet has championed inclusive storytelling through her volunteer work with the Barnes Children’s Literature Festival and as Co-Founder of Camp YA, a young adult festival celebrating diverse voices.
A dedicated mentor through the Society of Young Publishers, she has helped many newcomers build successful careers in publishing.
MA Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, 2022
Vanessa is a compassionate and innovative psychotherapist whose work has transformed lives locally and internationally. Since graduating, Vanessa has supported individuals at South London and Maudsley Hospital and founded her own practice offering free counselling to those unable to access support.
Through her organisation, Virtuous Voices, she raises awareness of trauma and empowers survivors of sexual abuse through her courage and authenticity.
BSc Business Management and Economics
Sean is an exceptional entrepreneur whose vision, creativity, and commitment to ethical business are inspiring a new generation of leaders. Since graduating, Sean has co-founded Odd Balm, a business that challenges industry norms through innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility.
His success in bringing the company to major retailers, including Debenhams, shows his ability to turn bold ideas into ventures that create both commercial and social impact. A dedicated mentor and supporter of the Roehampton community, Sean shares his insights generously, encouraging others to pursue their ambitions with purpose and integrity. His achievements exemplify innovation at its finest, and his leadership continues to inspire all who follow.

Gabrielle is a Specialist Integrative Psychotherapist, Counselling Psychologist Trainee, and Founder of Kismet Psychotherapy, whose pioneering work is redefining inclusive mental health care. Since graduating, she has developed Transition Focused Therapy, a groundbreaking model affirming gender-diverse individuals and advancing professional practice.
Her service, Kismet Psychotherapy, has gained national and international recognition, receiving honours at the 2025 Global Healthcare and Pharma Mental Health Awards. Through her research, advocacy, and compassionate leadership, Gabrielle continues to shape the future of psychotherapy and promote inclusion across the field.

Jordine is the Global Marketing Director at FutureBrand. Her leadership, creativity, and commitment to service continues to inspire. With over a decade of experience across industries, she has led impactful brand strategies, revitalised established names, and driven global growth through innovative marketing.
Since graduating, Jordine has remained a dedicated supporter of Roehampton, serving on the University’s Business Advisory Board, guest lecturing, and hosting the inaugural Roehampton Podcast.
BA Primary Education with QTS, 2021; MA SEND and Inclusive Education, 2024
Grace is an exceptional teacher and advocate for inclusive education. Her work is transforming lives both in and beyond the classroom. Since qualifying in 2021, she has dedicated her career to supporting children with severe and profound learning needs, empowering them to use their voices and take an active role in their school community.
Her leadership in creating initiatives such as a school Parliament and her recognition through the UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador Programme reflect her passion for pupil empowerment. A master’s graduate, Grace continues to inspire through her teaching, research, and tireless fundraising for children’s and health charities.

David is a Team Leader for schools and colleges at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A). His leadership in museum education continues to inspire and empower learners. Since graduating, he has held influential roles across the UK’s leading museums, shaping innovative educational programmes and mentoring colleagues with creativity and compassion.
At the V&A, he leads the museum’s schools and colleges programme, championing inclusion, design thinking, and real-world problem solving through initiatives such as the national V&A Innovate challenge.
BA Communications and Media Studies, 2014
Danny is the Archbishop’s Special Project Director at Lambeth Palace. His leadership and service have made a lasting impact on national life and the Roehampton community. Since graduating, he has played a central role in major public events, including serving as the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Planning Director for the Coronation of King Charles III.
For his contribution to this historic occasion, he was appointed a Member of the Royal Victorian Order. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Danny continues to champion social progress and community engagement while remaining an active supporter of Roehampton.
Jo is Head of Educational Development at Roehampton. Her leadership, compassion, and dedication have left a lasting impact on the University and the wider higher education community.
Throughout her career, Jo has been a source of guidance and inspiration to students and colleagues, known for her integrity, emotional intelligence, and ability to lead with both honesty and care. Her work on educational development and tackling attainment gaps reflects her deep commitment to meaningful, inclusive change.

Lukas is a Visiting Lecturer and dance educator whose artistry, innovation, and inclusive teaching have made a remarkable impact on the Roehampton community and beyond. Since graduating, Lukas has combined his work as a performer, choreographer, and teacher with a deep commitment to student wellbeing.
His classes are celebrated for creating safe, empowering, and reflective spaces that foster both technical and personal growth. Drawing on his international experience as a dancer and performer, Lukas inspires students to think creatively, work collaboratively, and pursue their craft with confidence.
