Kevin Thomas has had an extensive career in public sector finance, risk, and change management, supporting public services to improve and transform the quality of people's lives. He started his career as a trainee accountant with Sefton MBC before achieving his CIPFA qualification with Clwyd County Council. He then moved into audit with District Audit and then the Audit Commission, delivering extensive portfolios of financial and value for money work in high risk Local Government, NHS Trust and Central Government Audits with a combined budget of over £1 billion, and leading a team to win the Cliff Nicholson Award for Innovation and Excellence in the Public Sector.
Kevin was appointed Executive Director of Corporate Services for Audit Wales in 2020, with responsibility for Finance, HR, IT, Law & Ethics, Business Services and Board support. He is also Chair of the Health and Safety Committee, and the Executive Leadership Team equality and diversity champion.
Kevin joined Roehampton in 2017, and is Chair of Audit Committee.
