Having been a principal in both state comprehensive and independent schools, as well as Dean of Educational Development at South Bank University, Dr Priscilla Chadwick was the first woman elected as Chair of The Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference (HMC). With a PhD (Lon), she also holds honorary doctorates from Hertfordshire and Roehampton universities.
Dr Chadwick governs state and independent schools, as well as chairing the Whitelands College Foundation and serving on the University of Roehampton Council. She has chaired the National Dioceses Commission for the Archbishop of Canterbury, presented 'Thought for the Day' for BBC Radio 4, led a major review of Church schools for the Church of England and published books and articles on ecumenical education. Her interests include theology, the arts and world travel.
