As Chief Operating Officer, George leads a broad portfolio of professional services, overseeing operational performance and strategic development in support of the University’s Strategy 2030. His responsibilities span student and academic services, people, digital services, estates, governance and legal services, planning and strategic projects, and careers and employability. He also oversees the University’s relationship with its four Colleges and their Providing Bodies.
George joined the University of Roehampton in 2017 as University Secretary and was appointed Chief Operating Officer in July 2025. He holds a PhD in Music from the University of Sheffield and a Graduate Diploma in Law from Brunel University London. He is a member of the Association of Heads of University Administration.
