Arrival and Orientation
There are two international arrival dates, one for students who are required to quarantine for 14 days and a later date for those who are not. However, please note that you can sign up for either airport date (below) if you are quarantining, and you will be assisted in doing so when on campus.
Please try to book your flights to arrive in London on one of the two dates in order to participate in the international orientation activities and to benefit from the reduced Uber fare offered by the university.
We offer a reduced taxi fare from London Heathrow Airport for international students who will be living in university accommodation.
How does it work?
Due to COVID-19 restrictions the university will give £20 Uber vouchers to international students arriving on the dates above, rather than provide a coach. Please note that:
• 4th January date is exclusively for quarantining students, while 13th January date is for quarantining or non-quarantining students
What to do if you are making your own way to campus
On arrival please make your way to the library, close to the university's main entrance. The welcome team will be located in the in the foyer between 9am and 7pm on both arrival dates (04/01 and 13/01) where you can register and collect your keys - campus map is available here.
What to do if you arrive late
Many students experience delays with their travel plans or visas application and so may be arriving later than planned, late at night or over the weekend. If this applies to you please email us in advance with your estimated arrival time, on your arrive please go to the Security Gatehouse at the Main Entrance to collect your keys.
What to do if you are not living on campus
You can join the welcome activities arranged for our on-campus students if you're living off campus. Please check back to these pages toward the end of August for full details.
