Entry requirements

Applying as an International Student

Academic Requirements

At the University of Roehampton, we welcome applications from academically qualified students world-wide. Along with a complete application, EU and international applicants will be required to submit various supporting documents. This will usually include: academic qualifications (certificate and transcript), a valid English language qualification, a personal statement and two references.

For specific academic entry requirements for your country please visit our country pages here.

English Language Requirements

If you are considering full degree study at the University of Roehampton (e.g. undergraduate (BA, BSC, BFA, LLB), postgraduate (LLM, MA, MSC, MBA, MFA) or research (MPhil/PhD/PsychD) you must demonstrate that you possess at least a minimum standard of English language proficiency. This web page sets out our requirements.

All applicants that require a Tier 4 visa must also meet the minimum English Language requirements before we can issue a Certificate of Acceptance for Study (CAS) that is needed to apply for a Tier 4 visa.

Please note that unless otherwise stated English Language tests results are usually only accepted if they have been achieved in the last two years. For Tier 4 applicants the validity of the test must be no older than two years from the date that the CAS is issued.
