Guests enjoyed all that spring weather had to offer, with hailstorms giving way to sunshine views across the Thames from the historic Palaces of Westminster.

As well as speeches from the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor, guests were addressed by Fleur Anderson, the MP for Putney, Roehampton and Southfields who voiced the important role Roehampton University played in the local community. Guests networked to find out more about key Roehampton projects that are delivering tangible outcomes for local, and global communities.

Projects such as:

I-CAN – a new partnership with the NHS and local charities to support care leavers with a dedicated short course to prepare them for an apprenticeship in the health and social care sector.

The Roehampton Law Clinic, which provided £50,000 of free legal advice to the local community in 2022/23 across family, housing, and consumer issues.

Partnership with MIND to deliver art-based mental health programmes to enhance support for individuals with severe mental health needs.

Part of wider celebrations to mark to 20-year anniversary of Roehampton’s university status, the event was attended by civic and corporate leaders, charities, employers such as the NHS and London schools, Santander Universities, Crystal Palace Football Club and alumni, supporters, and staff.
