The University of Roehampton delighted to announce that Dr Kaz Brandt, Associate Professor in Psychology at the University of Roehampton, has been appointed as the new Deputy Chair of the British Psychological Society (BPS) Research Board.

This appointment recognises Dr Brandts contributions to psychological research and her overall leadership within the discipline. In this new national role, she will help shape the strategic direction of psychological science in the UK, advocating for high-quality, ethical research that benefits individuals and society.
Speaking on her appointment, Dr Brandt said: "I'm honoured to take on this role at such a pivotal time for psychological research. I look forward to working with colleagues across the UK to support a vibrant and inclusive research culture that addresses the complex challenges facing our society.
The BPS, which has represented psychology and psychologists for over 120 years, supports a thriving community of more than 60,000 members. Its Research Board plays a key role in promoting the value of research, influencing national priorities, and supporting the development of researchers across all career stages.
