A Soft Oral History of Hotel Belgrade

Comprising visual diagrams and movement structures, Tamara's collaborative artistic project "Welcome to our Room (22): A Soft Oral History of Hotel Belgrade" was presented within Art Weekend Belgrade [AWB] in October '21. Room 22 was a social gathering space that fostered exchanges of knowledge and oral histories about the life of the building and its Belgrade neighbourhood. Using collaging, docufictional diagramming, movement exploration and conversations, this project was a kind of social mudlarking that gathered and displayed some invaluable specs of the visitors' memories and hearsay about the Hotel. More recently, the event and its findings are described and contextualised in Tamara's practice-as-research essay, published in Performance Research Journal: On Diagrams and the Diagrammatic (Vol. 27:8, editor A.Mirčev, Sep. 2023).
