Summer at Roehampton
The University has continued to review the ongoing issues impacting the International Summer School as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and we have made the difficult decision to cancel our International Summer School for 2021. - Live and learn on our beautiful parkland campus in south west London
- Use London as the classroom with modules including trips and activities in the city
- Explore London and the UK with an optional excursion programme
- Be supported by the dedicated Roehampton Abroad team before, during and after your study abroad experience
Study at Roehampton for three or six weeks this summer and gain academic credit whilst exploring London. You will live and learn on our beautiful parkland and have access to all the University’s support services as well as your dedicated Roehampton Abroad team. You will study alongside international students from around the world and can choose to take part in our exciting social programme with excursions around the city.
You will chose one module per three-week academic session. Each module has been developed especially for international students and includes trips and activities in the city.

Modules will run subject to minimum enrolments.
You will live in a single occupancy room, arranged along a corridor with shared kitchen/social area and bathroom. We will provide you with all the cooking equipment you will need. You will live alongside other international students taking part in the summer programme.
The dedicated Roehampton Abroad team will support you from through your application, preparing for your arrival and throughout your time at Roehampton. You can find out more about our pre-arrivals process here.
Whilst you are at Roehampton you will have access to all the student support services on campus. This includes Disabilities and Dyslexia services, wellbeing and study support. You can find out more about our support services here.
To help you to make the most of your time in London we have planned a series of social events on and off-campus. These will include welcome and farewell parties, quiz nights, walking tours and cocktails in the city.
We will also update you regularly with events and activities happening locally, including recommendations of food, fun and festivals!
We also offer an optional excursion programme to help you discover famous sights in and around London. The programme will be led by a qualified tour guide and past trips have included:
- West-end theatre show
- Walking tours
- Day trips to Oxford/Stonehenge and Bath
- Tower of London tour
The excursion programme costs £250.
Students are expected to have a minimum of 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
The application process is really simple. We need some basic information about you and what you currently study. We will also ask you to upload a copy of your current transcript and write a short personal statement about why you want to join us at Roehampton.
Once you have submitted your application, we aim to get back to you with a decision within seven days.
Please make sure you discuss your application with your home university or college so they can let you know if there are any additional procedures to follow on their side.

Included in the package price is:
- Housing in on-campus accommodation with shared bathroom and kitchen

If a student withdraws within 1 month prior to arrival, there is a £250 Administrative Fee due, exceptional circumstances considered. If a student withdraws after arrival, they are liable to pay full fees.
