You do not need to book a time slot to move in, but we expect you to arrive by 4pm. However, staff will be available in the Library on the Digby Stuart campus to handle late arrivals.
International Undergraduate students move-in date

Move in time: 8am – 10pm
International students can book an airport pick-up on this day from Heathrow Airport.
If you are unable to move in on this date and need to move in on a later date, please email accommodation@roehampton.ac.uk in advance to make the necessary arrangements.

Students arriving 18 September

Students arriving 22 September
Please go directly to the College where your accommodation is based (more information below). You will need to show some form of ID confirming your name on arrival.
There will be limited parking available on move-in day so please follow any instructions given by University staff.
Digby Stuart and Southlands College resident students should report to the main entrance of the University to be directed to their key collection point in the library. The address is Roehampton Lane, London SW15 5PU.
Froebel College resident students (including Chadwick Hall) should go to the Froebel College entrance on Roehampton Lane. The address is Roehampton Lane, London SW15 5PJ.
Whitelands College resident students should go directly to Whitelands College, Holybourne Avenue, Roehampton, London SW15 4JD.
Refreshments will be available on campus for purchase.

All students must complete assigned mandatory Fire, Health and Safety Student Induction eLearning before arrival. It takes about 20 minutes to complete. This will familiarise you with the University’s fire, health and safety arrangements, emergency procedures, key contacts, the University’s and its Students’ fire, health and safety responsibilities, and the safety rules you need to always follow.
If you do not complete this eLearning, access to your accommodation may be stopped until you have.

There will be limited parking available on move-in day so please follow any instructions given by University staff. You will be asked to unload within one hour and then move your car off-campus if staying longer.

You can buy a kitchen or bedding pack to collect on arrival from our online store.
University of Roehampton is working in partnership with Cover4insurance to protect the contents inside your room. You don't need to do anything to activate this cover, but it is important you check and ensure that you fully understand the protection provided and whether it is sufficient for your needs. Check your cover here.
When you accepted your accommodation offer you will have paid your deposit and set up your payment plan for your fees.
Many students will be waiting for their student loan to pay their accommodation fees. In line with this the first instalment for accommodation fees will be taken from the card provided on 3 October 2024.
If you wish to change the card, call Accommodation Finance on 020 8392 3110. Alternatively, you can find us in Lawrence 003, Froebel College, by the Students' Union.
This is compulsory safety testing on all portable electrical appliances which you bring into your room. In the weeks after you have moved in, engineers will be coming to your room to test your electrical appliances. Please note the engineer may enter your room when you are not in to carry out these tests.
Please make sure you read the Accommodation Terms and Conditions and the Student Accommodation Guide before you arrive.
In order to ensure you receive your post you need to include the four letters of your block or college, shown below, as well as your full name, room number and accommodation block, followed by the addresses.
The four letters for each accommodation area are:
- Chadwick: CHPS
- Digby: DSPS
- Elm Grove EGPS
- Froebel: FCPS
- Southlands: SCPS
- Whitelands: WCPS
Post for accommodation in Digby Stuart, Froebel, Chadwick and Southlands is centralised. The address is Roehampton Lane, London SW15 5PH.
The exception is Whitelands College where post should be sent to:

If you watch BBC programs on iPlayer, or watch any live TV, then you need to be covered by a TV Licence. This applies to any device you use, including a computer, laptop, mobile phone or tablet. It's the law. www.tvl.co.uk/uni
If you are planning to bring your bike to University with you it must not be brought into your accommodation. There are loads of bike racks across campus. You should bring a robust lock to secure it on a bike rack.
