Our Business Management and Marketing (Top-up) degree is ideal if you already have a foundation degree (FdA / FdSC), Higher National Diploma (HND), years 1 and 2 of an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject at a different institution, or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.
On this course, you will develop a strategic mindset, digital fluency, and leadership qualities that employers demand. Through a professionally focused curriculum, you will develop core skills across both business management and contemporary marketing practice. You will engage in real-world scenarios, work on live and simulated data, and develop digital portfolios that reflect your individual strengths and career ambitions.
On this top-up course, you will develop a skill set founded on strategic management theory that allows you to become an active participant in the strategy process that organisations deploy to ensure their long-term success. You will explore key areas such as global market analysis, entry strategy selection, cross-cultural adaptation, branding and sustainable marketing.

Dr Sahil Sambyal
I hold a PhD in Marketing, where my research explored the long-term financial impact of marketing and branding strategies. Over the past 10 years, I have taught a diverse portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate modules, and I also lead some of the key marketing modules.
As a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, I am committed to teaching excellence, and my expertise in digital marketing, branding and data analytics informs every lecture and seminar. In my teaching, I blend core theoretical frameworks with real-world case studies, guiding you through live business challenges so you develop both strategic insight and practical skills.
As Programme Leader, I oversee curriculum design and programme development while ensuring that you enjoy a supportive, engaging learning environment. I love this field because it perfectly combines my interests in innovation, analytics and creativity, and it is profoundly rewarding to watch you grow into confident, forward-thinking professionals. In recognition of my commitment, I was recently honored with the Outstanding Contribution Award from our Faculty of Business and Law.
