Roehampton welcomes the first cohort of MSc Physiotherapy students

The School of Life and Health Sciences is really pleased to welcome the first cohort of MSc Physiotherapy students to Roehampton

This 2 year pre-registration programme will support the development of confident, autonomous Physiotherapy practitioners who will work in varied settings across the NHS (community, hospital and primary care) and private practice. Students will benefit from a brand new team of expert educators, practical learning in our state-of-the-art clinical simulation facilities and placements with local healthcare organisations.

Dr Rachel Chan, Head of Physiotherapy said: 'We are delighted to welcome Physiotherapy students to the University of Roehampton. We have created a contemporary curriculum that reflects the evolving and expanding role of the Physiotherapist and we are excited to now bring this to life. We are committed to supporting all of our students on their individual journeys to becoming a registered physiotherapist and enabling them to optimise every learning opportunity.'

Paul Newcombe, Deputy Dean Healthcare Education said: "The arrival of our first cohort of MSc Physiotherapy students marks the next exciting chapter in the development of healthcare education at Roehampton. I look forward to seeing Rachel and her team build on the success of nursing and welcome the opportunities that the addition of a new professional programme brings.
