Life
On-campus life means enjoying everything we have to offer around the University, this includes the gym, 54 acres of our parkland campus and landscaped gardens, a shop, bar, catering, esports facilities and even our resident chickens!
We have rooms for everyone from single rooms, large rooms and the choice of ensuites in different sized flats. Whatever you prefer, we've got you covered – whether that's a request for 'quiet' flats, single-sex flats and even flats dedicated to postgraduate students, just let us know.
The perks of living at Durham
At Durham you will share a flat with ten people and you will have your own private room and bathroom and a shared kitchen and living space.
Rooms at Durham are available to new undergraduate students and all rooms include a desk, chair and wardrobe.

Durham is located within Whitelands College.
Whitelands is 180 years old, and we are very proud of our long history and traditions. You will be living and studying in a college alongside other first years as well as international students
Applying
If you are a new student, you can book a room with us by creating an account in the portal and applying for accommodation. You can book a room with us as soon as your have a Firm offer from the University. You will need a Roehampton ID to do this. If you do not have this, please contact the team.
If you are starting in September 2024, you can apply for accommodation from January 2024. You can find out more about applications here.
You will be asked to pay a deposit of £250 deposit online to secure your room offer. We accept debit cards and the major credit cards except American Express, Diners Club and JCB.
