The Clearing process, explained

Clearing is a process that happens every year that helps you find a course, at a university that has places available. This year Clearing opens on Thursday 14 August.

The last date for adding any Clearing choices is 20 October 2025.

Read our Frequently Asked Questions

You'll speak to one of our friendly Admissions Advisers who are there to help you and answer any questions.

When you call, please have the following information ready:

  • Your UCAS ID number if you have one. (Don't worry, we can help you even if you are not already in the UCAS system)
  • A list of your qualifications (including GCSEs) and the grades you achieved in each
  • The name of the course you are interested in

We'll ask you for the information above and then will let you know if we can make you an offer.

At this stage, offers will be conditional and will only be confirmed once you have added a Clearing choice in UCAS or made a direct application and met your conditions.

Flexible offer-making - we will consider your wider circumstances in considering your offer. We accept a wide range of qualifications including BTEC qualifications, A-levels, and T-levels and will offer flexibility depending on your wider circumstances. We welcome applications from students of all ages and backgrounds.

Remember, we will only be able to help you if you already have all your results.

Please note that any offer made is subject to our student contract.

We'll send you a provisional offer email which will have details of the next steps – make sure you keep an eye out for it!

We'll have rooms available for you in our on-campus accommodation. If you accept your offer by 22 August, we can guarantee you a place.
