Learning and assessment
How you’ll learn
Get ahead with our practical, experiential learning environment. You'll actively apply your knowledge to real industry challenges from the outset, not just study them.
Your learning is structured around a focused two-day timetable each block. Each day begins with a concise lecture introducing key concepts, followed by an extended, hands-on workshop where you'll work in small groups to tackle practical tasks, explore case studies, and respond to real-world industry problems. Dedicated time for discussion and reflection ensures you can consolidate your learning and connect it to professional practice.
You'll also engage in collaborative digital workspaces and experiential activities, including live projects and the use of industry-standard tools. Together, these experiences ensure you develop practical, workplace-ready skills and a global perspective on hospitality management.

How you’ll be assessed
Your assessment is designed to reflect the realities of the hospitality industry, focusing on practical application rather than traditional exams. You’ll complete a range of authentic, industry-relevant assessments, including case-based tasks, business simulations, and professional-standard projects that allow you to demonstrate your knowledge in real-world contexts.
This approach aligns closely with the programme’s emphasis on applied learning, giving you the opportunity to respond to genuine business challenges and build a strong portfolio of work. Throughout your studies, AI-enhanced feedback tools will support your progress, offering timely insights to help you refine your skills and develop as an independent learner.
At the end of the programme, you’ll undertake a capstone or live project tailored to your career ambitions. Whether through a research internship, consultancy project, or start-up initiative, this final experience allows you to showcase your expertise and graduate ready to make an immediate impact in the industry.
