We're really excited to welcome you to Roehampton - your September 2026 journey starts here.
We want to make your journey to Roehampton as smooth as possible. From now until September, we’ll be sharing everything you need to do before you start, so you can feel ready, confident, and prepared for your first day.
On this page you'll find information about welcome week, enrolment, and induction as well as tips for navigating your first few weeks including where to go for support and advice.

Enrolment is the process you need to complete to become an official Roehampton student - it will be online and in-person. Once you've enrolled you can access your timetable and other digital tools.
Induction is the essential way to kick start your studies, from meeting staff, joining clubs and societies, and seeing what support is available to you.
There's lots to think about before you arrive at university, this section will help you feel prepared for starting your journey with us.
We really recommend that you familiarise with your welcome and induction schedule, so you know when you'll need to be on campus.
Living in our on-campus halls is a great way to find your community.
We can guarantee you a room if you apply by 30 June.
We offer some of the most affordable accommodation in London with bills included and 24/7 security on campus, including campus wardens and flat reps.
We know the cost of university is significant, but see it as an it's investment in your future. You're probably planning how you'll cover your course, accommodation and living costs.
If you normally live in England, and haven't already, you can apply for a tuition fee loan and maintenance loan through Student Finance England to support your studies.
We offer a range of generous financial support packages, see if you're eligible for up to £1,000 towards commuting to campus, a £1000 boost or getting up to £3000 for achieving top grades.

The Roehampton Students' Union is the heart of the university, from events, clubs to socitietes, there is plenty of opportunites for you to experience something new and meet friends. There’s also a range of different sports you can get involved in and try, either competitively or just to be active and have fun.
It's a good idea to be familiar with where things are on campus, including where you'll need to go if you need to speak to someone.

Our room names may seem confusing at first, but you'll get used to them. Each has a code and room number, e.g: DB202 would be located in the Sir David Bell building on the second floor.
If you need help with anything, Nest (our support hub) is the place to go. They be able to direct you to the right place, either in-person or online.
We have great transport links across London and beyond.
Our main campus is a short walk from Barnes station and has regular trains from Waterloo and Clapham Junction. Putney train station is about a 30-minute walk away.
Our nearest tube is Putney Bridge on the district line. The 265, 419 and 493 buses all stop outside the main entrance to campus. Night buses N72 and N74 also run through the night.
If you plan to cycle, we have bike storage and also offer e-bikes with a 50% discount.

Once you've completed your online enrolment, you'll get a Roehampton email address which will give you access to lots of applications and tools. Here's some of the ones you'll be using most.
UoR Digital Campus app
This is a must have app, it'll make university life simpler as all the essential services and info you need are all in one place.
Nest online
This is where you'll go for anything you need help and support with. Whether that's understanding your timetable or reaching out to a Wellbeing Officer, this is your go too.
Moodle
This is where you'll be able to find information on your modules plus assessment deadlines. You'll also have access to the Learning Skills Hub, which has resources to help with your academic writing and preparing for exams.
Connecting to WiFi
You'll have free access to free WiFi across campus.
What's on

Nest is our hub for support at Roehampton. It's a central place where you can go for help with almost anything, whether it's academic, personal, or practical.
You can drop in (the Nest are based in the library on main campus and Whitelands), or message them on live chat for help, advice, or a friendly chat.
They can also help direct you to the right team.
