The University of Roehampton warmly welcomes students from Mexico. We host representatives from over 140 nationalities around the world, offering a uniquely diverse student experience. Our Mexican students can be found across all our academic departments, studying programmes such as Business, Arts, Education, Humanities, Psychology, Life Sciences and Social Sciences.

We visit schools, colleges and education fairs in the Mexico a few times a year.

Programme level Academic English
Undergraduate (Bachelors)
  • An Upper Secondary School Diploma:  Bachillerato General or Bachillerato Technologico with marks above 70%
  • A UK Foundation course in a subject relevant to the degree you are applying for
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma
  • American high school diploma with a minimum of 2.8 GPA
  • Academic IELTS score of 6.0 overall with a minimum 5.5 in each component
  • Academic IELTS score of 6.5 overall with a minimum 6.0 in each component (Nutrition and Health)
Postgraduate Taught (Masters) Licenciado with a pass mark 7 or 70% (for courses requiring a 2:2), or 8 or 80% (for courses requiring a 2:1)
  • Academic IELTS score of 6.5 overall with a minimum 5.5 in each component
  • Academic IELTS score of 6.5 overall with a minimum 6.0 in each component (Clinical Nutrition)

Funding

Mexican citizens can apply for funding in the Mexico through the following:

  • FIDERH is a federal trust, managed by Banco de Mexico for more than 5 decades. Its mission is to offer affordable loans to Mexican students to finance their post graduate studies in Mexico or abroad. They grant loans for graduate certificates, masters and PhD programmes in the following subjects: social sciences and management, engineering and technology, life sciences and medicine, education and humanities, natural and agricultural sciences.
  • FUNED is a private operating foundation that promotes the professional careers of future Mexican leaders through higher education by providing financial aid and scholarships for those who wish to pursue a Master’s degree abroad, online, hybrid or executive. FUNED was established in 1993 by a group of Mexican entrepreneurs committed to the idea that higher education is a catalyst to promote Mexican economic and social development. 
  • National Council of Humanities, Sciences and Technologies (Conahcyt)  is the Mexican government institution responsible for formulating and leading public policies in the humanities, sciences, technologies and innovation throughout the country. They offers scholarships for Mexican nationals to pursue graduate studies abroad.

Tuition fee discounts

A 2% tuition fee discount will be given to all students who make full payment of their tuition fees online by the published date of enrolment. Our payment options can be found here.

A 20% tuition fee discount on campus-based courses will be given for all UK, EU and international Roehampton alumni holding a full undergraduate degree or postgraduate qualification and those who studied here on an exchange/study abroad programme, for any higher programme of study. This reduction will be applied to the tuition fee prior to payment.

Scholarships


GREAT Scholarship

In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, University of Roehampton London is offering a scholarship to students in Mexico applying for postgraduate-taught courses.

Applicants can apply for this opportunity once an offer of a place to study at Roehampton is accepted. Awards will be based on a combination of academic merit and the information given on the application form.

Students must have accepted their offer for one of the September 2025 entry taught postgraduate courses at Roehampton. Please note that applicants must be passport holders of the United Mexican States.

There is one award available, worth £10,000.

Country Scholarships

We will automatically consider you for this award if you are a Mexican citizen and hold a conditional offer for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course. You must successfully enrol in order to receive the award. Scholarship will be awarded in the form of a tuition fee discount.

This award is worth £1,500 to each successful applicants who enrols in September or November.

Scholarship awarded for each year of study (maximum of one year for Postgraduate).

International Excellence Scholarship

We offer a range of generous scholarships worth up to £4000 per year to high achieving undergraduate and postgraduate international students.

Undergraduate (Bachelor's)

  • £4000 scholarships available (x3 years)
  • £2500 scholarships available (x3 years)
  • £1000 scholarships available (x3 years)

Postgraduate (Master's)

September entry:

  • £4000 scholarships available (1 year)

Chevening Scholarship (PG)

Chevening Scholarships enable outstanding emerging leaders from all over the world to pursue one-year master’s degrees in the UK. Whilst there is no ‘typical’ Chevening Scholar, we are looking for the kind of people who have the passion, ideas, and influence to provide the solutions and leadership needed to create a better future.

Because these scholarships are fully-funded (flights, accommodation, and course fees are all included), you are free to focus on achieving your professional goals and maximising the experience of a lifetime.

September entry

All international students who apply before 31st July will be guaranteed university accommodation. Applications for September entry can be made from the beginning of February.

January entry

We also offer a range of accommodation options for students starting in January, applications can be made from the beginning of November.
