Future career

From work experience to employability events (and mastering CV's!), we'll help your child towards their future career.

We have a recruitment agency on-site, that can help with finding part-time work on-campus. We also have our Handshake Career Hub, where they'll be connected to employers and can see graduate opportunities.

We also offer support when applying for internships, and all our undergraduate courses offer a professional placement year, so the skills they've developed can be applied in real-world settings.

Tamsin tells us about her on internship at Disney

"I was responsible for carrying out a research project into the success of the Barbie movie, how it so cleverly used humour, big celebrity names and a massive marketing campaign to appeal to the young adult audience.

"I surveyed 1000 respondents to gauge their opinions on both Barbie and Disney to understand the huge reach of the movie and what made it such a success."

Be Clearing ready

We've put together some useful content around Clearing, which might help prepare your child better.

On results day, it's key to stay calm and be supportive, as there is no need to panic. Advise your child to take a step back and think about their options, talk it through with them. If university is still the way forward for them, help them get organised. Make sure they have everything they need from the above for the call, and that they have done their research.
